New Features and Other Improvements

New Dashboard Layout with Workflow Widget

Feature ID: FD-31969

A new Workflow widget has been added to the dashboard layout of the Web Client landing page alongside the existing Recently Viewed and Favorites sections.

The Workflow widget provides an overview of all open workflows, each displayed in its own tab starting with the most recent. Selecting a tab opens it in the main view. Administrators can see all workflows, while doers and reviewers only see workflows that include tasks assigned to them.

The Web Client landing page with the Workflow widget alonside Recently Viewed and Favourites sections.

The top-right corner includes search, refresh, and expand/minimize options. The search function works across all columns, such as units, reviewers, doers, and status. A status filter allows you to refine the list; by default, all statuses except approved are selected, making the view useful as a task-oriented to-do list.

You can expand a task using the arrow next to the task name to reveal details like units, assignments, subtask statuses, comments, and attachments. Color-coded triangle icons indicate urgency (yellow for nearing due date, red for overdue).

Clicking a task, unit, comment, or attachment opens the Workflow execution screen with the relevant context. From the dashboard’s top-right corner, you can also customize visible widgets and views via the settings (cog) icon.

Settings menu from which you can select which sections are displayed on the landing page: Workflow, Favourites, Recently Viewed.

Account Label in Chart of Accounts

Feature ID: FD-21229

You can now add a free-text Account Label to accounts in the Chart of Accounts. The label field accepts up to 250 characters and includes an auto-suggest feature that displays up to 20 previously saved labels as you type, helping you apply consistent labeling across accounts.

Account labels are available for use in templates and reports. To use the label in a template, configure a definition column in the template management screen with the dimension type set to Account and select Account Label in the presentation property. Similarly, the Account Description field is now also available as a presentation property.

You can also use account labels and descriptions in import and export functions.

Dimension Extra Field in Templates

Feature ID: FD-30152

Values from dimension extra fields can now be imported directly into input templates and used for example in the input template formulas or for sharing information.

For example, in a scenario where sales are calculated as quantity × price, and the product hierarchy contains pricing information, the price can be brought directly into the input template. In this case, the user only needs to enter the quantity, and the formulas will automatically calculate the total amounts.

This improvement enhances budgeting and forecasting. Separate intermediate sources are no longer required, as the necessary data can be retrieved directly into the input template.

This feature is available for report templates, predefined templates, and cell drill-down views.

To configure this, add a datacolumn to the template and set the type component of the datafield element to dimextra and the datasource component to report or drilldown. Define the ID of the extrafield in the field component of the extra element under the datafield element. Also define the dimension in the type field under the dimensions element within the dimension element.

When the template is opened, the configured extra field value is fetched for the specified dimension. If a unit has multiple values for an extra field, the values are displayed separated by a pipe character (|). If no value is configured or the unit has no corresponding extra field value, the column displays as blank.

This feature works for retrieve templates, predefined templates, and supports numeric extra fields in formula calculations.

Lineos AI Assistant Available in Drill-Down Views

Feature ID: FD-30000

The Lineos AI assistant is now available in drill-down and TR drill-down views. Previously, Lineos was only accessible from the main template or report sheet. You can now use Lineos's Data Assist and Doc Assist features directly within any drill-down result.

To open Lineos in a drill-down, select a cell value, right-click, and choose the Lineos option, or use the Lineos icon in the toolbar.
