Introduction to ESEF Reporting

Note: Support for the Clausion ESEF Reporting Tool ends with version 25.01. Starting from version 25.02, you can use insightsoftware’s Certent Disclosure Management (CDM) application for ESEF reporting. For more information on CDM, please contact your account executive.

ClausionESEF Reporting Tool is a Microsoft Excel application for creating annual financial reports (AFR) in accordance with European Single Electronic Format (later referred to as ESEF). 

ClausionESEF Reporting Tool is used from Clausion Dynamic Reporting (later referred to as DR) add-in user interface. It is used to generate ESEF-compliant report package folders. When these folders are compressed as zip files, they will be ready to be disclosed. The report package zip files are to be sent to Officially Appointed Mechanisms (OAM) in different EU countries. OAMs own and maintain a national database (see Publishing the ESEF Annual Financial Report).

A template in ClausionESEF Reporting Tool is an Excel workbook which contains the Extension, Mapping and Log sheets and one or more entry sheets. These sheets contain all the required information for the application to create a report package.
